Thanks to Ben for writing up the match report:

Brixton’s 7th match of the summer league season saw us play the yet undefeated Goats of Destiny. We knew it was going to be a tough match, however we were determined not to roll over and show them what a good team we could be. We played well in the first half even with the deceptive wind messing with any kind of long put. We got our first points on the board when House found himself free in the end zone for myself to curve a disc to him after some good work up play by the rest of the team. The same combination was in action again soon after as House sprinted deep to bring down a huck. We also had the funniest layout you will ever see when Jon went over like a newly born giraffe in an attempt to rescue a disc. However our opponents had some good disc skills of their own as they won the half.

The second half saw Goats bring out a rather intelligent zone which could capitalize on their good pulls. However they did not reckon on our zone destroyer – code-named Ant. Who proceeded to break and run through the zone with ease, backed up by some good handling by Fran and Si. The good work led a scoring combination roll reversal of the first half – House to me. Soon after we scored our 4th point with good work handling play from Chris to pick out me in the end zone. We worked the zone well in other points but just couldn’t pick out that final pass. Goats showed their class in closing out the match 15-4. But Brixton can be proud how we played against very good opposition.
